They've already made clear the engine is going into the K1200LT replacement which will probably force Honda to either radically update the Goldwing or pull out of the game.
Whatever they'll make other bikes remain to be seen but if they'll make a CBX1000 successor they'll surely show much more courage than Honda.
Igf they feel it will sell, they will do it without watering down. Don't laugh, but BMW is one of the innovators of styling these days....and a far cry from the past.

I wonder how wide the engine is . Suzuki's concept inline 6 Stratosphere is supposedly only 18 inches across and 1100cc . Rumours set intro for 2010 but no dice . May the moto gods change their minds ! I want BMW to release their sixer so 'zook will be motivated . I like paying 1/2 price for similar quality .

I'm wondering about the wheelbase. It's going to be very long or have a very short swingarm. I guess if you just want to go fast in a straight line it's OK.
CBX has been my dream ever since I was like 8 and realized my neighbors father had one. Wished my dad was a Honda guy and not a Kawi guy even though his 78 LTD1000 is pretty sweet.
Would be incredible to see a new I6 on the market. Nothing compares to that sound IMO...
Long whippy crankshaft, cammy hit. Why o why don't the BMW engineers log on here to get the best engine configuration info? Haven't they heard the word that the V4 is superior to any other engine in the world?
Will they build a lightweight sport touring bike with this engine? That would be cool.
