While I have no interest in drag bikes or drag bike wannabes, if I did than that thing would be the tits! I mean, compared to a Hayabusa POS stretched bike that is downright sexy in a way. Nothing in life is really that much a waste of the original intention if it makes the buyer happy even if not to your taste. Cleary it is not for most here, live and let live.
Now you got me thinking..... This bike would be perfect for a new sport, hill climb on asphalt! Throw in some obstacles to dodge to prove that they can turn these things. Squids from all around would finally get their chance to show off their amazing riding skills and how badass their bike really is.

Ummm, cuz they took a bike that Ducati spent millions of $$ to design to make it go fast AND turn and turned it into a piece of shit that can barely go fast anymore. Maybe that's the "original thought" that Unpainted Faghines was talking about. Taking something that was designed to do something well and "engineering" it to no longer do that.

Countless Ducatis are rendered slow every day by incompetent operators. Isn't that a bigger crime than putting an extended swingarm on just one? What's the difference between a Ducati that can't be ridden fast and thousands of others that just aren't ridden fast?

And thinking of the 185mph club. I was riding back from EuroDay at Larz Anderson with my friends, we were all cruising at about 65 down the highway (honda CB350, two BMW R69s, one with sidecar) so, we couldn't go that much faster. And this gixxer, with that nice purple/greenish pearl paint and a stretched rear, mohawk helmet came flying past us. Needless to say he was a bit surprised when i passed him like he was standing still at about 140mph.
Love the guys that talk big about all the wheelies and burnouts they do, and will go 4000000mph in a straight, but basically come to a complete stop, get off their bike, walk it around the turn, and get back on.

But here's something to think about - what if I was just playing devil's advocate? What if I was justifying the existence of a stretched, slammed, and Marlboro liveried Ducati Superbike just purely for the purposes of debate? And then, what if you lost your temper about it? So you don't like stretched bikes, neither do I, but I don't get off thinking they must therefore be lesser people or attention whores.
