"Exercise restraint and discipline, only responding to posts from legit customers and those with constructive positive intent, you will find that the handgrenades explode harmlessly. You have many satisfied customers who are happy to have the parts you've made. My suggestion to you is keep making good parts, keep getting more customers, take care of them and let them speak for you."
You would have thought that he would have taken it a bit easier after the first strike....the second one almost looks like he went off track for a moment? It's just a slow low side.....he should be able to pick it up and get started again!
The tires were trying to tell him something, he just wouldn't listen.
Exactly, and Michelins do give very little warning when they are done. This was the first year I used Pirelli's and they tend to give better feedback, just my opinion. I have been getting grass samples with my ass because of Michelins just losing grip, it definitely was not lack of skill
The guy was all over the track from the very opening footage - a crash was inevitable...
...a little background info....
Turns out that computrack fiddled with his suspension before that session. I'm not knocking computrack with this post but I'm just sayin....... This vid was 4 seconds slower than his first vid without the suspension tweaks.
He put up a vid about a month ago at Jennings and his lines were much cleaner.

Waiting for the vid to load up some more but the opening seconds didnt look too impressive......lines were way off. Him getting his suspension set up means nothing really, other than he should had given himself some time to get used to the new set up. I can remember how my RC51 felt waaay back when I introduced the rear suspension to a 3MM shim.....I damned nearly ran off the first twisty road we got on. I was like damn that shit is coming out first thing when I get home, 3 hrs later, I got used to it tipping in faster and loved it.
S#2 was his fault, was way off line and tried getting around a slower bike, running him wide, S#3....I have no clue but it looked like it was the end of the day, maybe had a brain fart???? was it the sighting lap?Tires still cold?
is it me or was he just not going fast enough to warrant slicks.... meaning, it didnt look like a fast enough pace to put heat in the things... but videos are not good ways to tell. Although the way the things were letting gos pretty typical of cold rubber.... he wasnt on the power at all all 3 times, just leaned over and swoooosh!
and the fact he kept going was just stupid regardless of the reason regardless of the reason

He's an ex racer and was running 1:24-1:26 at Jennings in this vid I think. he's starting to get back into it.
In the first "strike" it was a preview of what I did when I "struck out". Same turn 8, same maneuver of trying to go wide to set up the rider in front for an inside pass into turn 9. Instead of keeping a tight line I stood the bike up while starting the drive earlier to make sure I got in front of them. However, the track is dirty on that wider line and there is also a slight camber change. I barely saved the highside in the first mistake, and failed to save the lowside in the last mistake.
The second "strike" I got pushed out wide while trying to go on the outside of the rider in front at turn 12. He stood the bike up unexpectedly and I went 2 inches too wide and fell into the rut just off the edge of the track. Thankfully it was a minor tankslapper that the Ohlins damper quelled or else it would have been a hellacious wreck. If you watch the video closely, you can see my speedo registers 118mph right as I run off the edge of the track. I watch that now and get chills and sweaty palms...
I ask only cuz I know lots of ppl who are officially considered racers.....
The problem with that vid is it's piece mealed into one so it doesnt really give us much of a story on when any of the 'strikes' actually occurred. Some very good guesses have been thrown out there based on what we saw tho. And no matter the story he shares, him being offline as much as he was doesnt seem to really put him in a positive light. BUT, I think everyone has off days so.......
