thats awesome but Larry's just obsessed with the Rc45.
wouldn't matter if the aprilia was a twin,inline,V4,v5 etc to him.
Its groundhog day round his neck of the woods, and that time is 1994...

There is a exhaust valve that opens up when in gear and closes when in neutral...just listen closely when he puts it in gear. You have to hear it in person...it's just awesome. One of the best sounding stock exhausts on any bike...just my .02

Talking well....

my two cents..... it doesn't hold a candle to a ducati....nuttin sounds like a duc....but i also like the sound emulating from a rc51....the gear whine with the exhaust is just music.....

If you have to say that then a RC51 with lowmount or highmount baizais satos are the bests sound I have yet to heard. When I do, I miss my FAT RC51.

It's sweet.. Would love to hear it with a full system or at least a carbon can.

Like mention earlier in the thread.. nothing beats a Duc. Now a close second is a RC51 with a set of Sato Banzai's. I was riding with SBKDrew and even with ear plugs and a Suomy that bike still hurt my ears to be behind.

thats fuggin briliant!!!

what is the purpose of the exhaust valve?

I suppose you could have a good free flowing exhaust with a valve that gets actuated only upon being put in gear and not so obnoxious when in neutral. Then when you get piulled over to test the sound dB it will be muted in neutral when they test it and you come off clean

now tell me what is the real purpose?
