Default Looking for 1st suit.

What would you guys recommend for a 1st suit? I'm not looking to spend a fortune or get anything custom probably just something off the rack or ordered online. Also what would be the mandatory measurements for an off the rack suit to be somewhat comfortable? I'm a bigger guy at 6'2 220 and unfortunately inherited a decent beer gut from my father but I'm working on that.

Thanks

My first suit was a used Dainese. Quality was good but 1 size larger than what I needed. So, I sold it on NESBA and got a killer deal on a discontinued Alpinestars suit on fleabay. If you go with any of the major brands you'll be ok. Hein Geriche also makes excellent value suits. As far as sizing goes, I would consult with any of the vendors.

All good suggestions. You might try a racing or trackday site. A lot of guys are selling suits now to upgrade for next year....deals can be found. WERA is a great site. 6'2 and 220 I would say about a US 50 or Euro 60....maybe a US 48 Euro 58.

I started with an entry level A* Star suit and then move to a Dainese Laguna Seca.

The Dainese product is head and shoulders better with respect to fit, weight and mobility while riding.

I would highly suggest looking into getting a left over Laguna suit; especially if you have a Dainese store w/in driving distance (last I heard, they were taking 30% off left over stock).

Good luck.

Some artists work in clay, some in oils....I work in sarcasm.

BTW, I saw in another thread you mentioned you were thinking about a first gen Mille, great bike, especially if you are over 6'1" (I'm 6'4"). Just make you get an R.
