Out last night to watch the sunset from the hills after ridin' The Isle of Rocky, was talking to another old loser such as myself about when the new 'priller was gonna surface. Not 10 minutes later one goes by and then returns a few minnutes later. All I can say is it's one of the few bikes that in the flesh is even better that the airbrushed magazine versions I previously punished myself with. The owner had 30 miles on it, only a few hours old, early 20 something, and didn't seem to understand all the fuss his ride was generating, other than it was shiny and smelled like coolant and had a Leo Vince end can.......A trust fund baby, who's pal told him months ago to go put a large deposit on one, which he duly did. I could go on about all the trick shit on it but if yer into it, ya already know. Incidentally, it was the R with the frosting extra thick. Bike was $24,000 OTD. Ducati better look out.
Semper Fi!

"Exercise restraint and discipline, only responding to posts from legit customers and those with constructive positive intent, you will find that the handgrenades explode harmlessly. You have many satisfied customers who are happy to have the parts you've made. My suggestion to you is keep making good parts, keep getting more customers, take care of them and let them speak for you."
This one had that bad ass V-4 growl, like a mini small block.
Larry woulda been pitchin' a tent.

It does, but at least we appreciate the scintillating joy of having earned a moment of happiness. Most people born with silver spoons, I like to believe, are robbed of the simple pleasures ... those simple moments . . . like stopping to admire the bike you worked for over a cup of fresh coffee half way into a 500 mile ride. You can't buy that.
They mentioned 2 examples in that range, which is below 1000cc four average. The EU versions seem to have more poke, but again...only average-good amongst the latest Japanese crop.
You're paying for the sound, components, handling, build...not HP, apparently.

There were 2 at Marcus Dairy this weekend and Jay Leno has already had one(of his two - one he rides, the other is in a display cabinet) at the Rock Store a couple of weeks ago.
A buddy of mine is getting his delivered any day now... lucky bas'tid!
I see one on Ebay for list price and several at dealerships on cycletrader.
It is surprising, you would think that the first hundred or more delivered would have been sold before they arrived. The bike is super cool, but could it be that demand is not a strong in real-world sales as we all assume? Is everyone waiting for the R?
