I'll take a wild ass guess and submit that Toseland isn't too worried about whatever happens in his final race in MotoGP.
well, true, but we all know that human nature dictates that Toseland wants nothing more than to make sure he comes in front of Spies tomorrow.
Obviously we dont know what hes thinking, but c'mon!! if i was him i would do everything in my power to at least do that much.

Completely agree... but if I was Ben, I would be thinking about Colin! Key for him to move up next year will be to consistently beat Edwards. He can worry about the fantastic 4 after he is beating Colin regularly.

I believe Mr. Toseland will choose caution as the better part of valour. But I'll still keep my eyes peeled for the James Bond oil slick or bag of marbles to come off Toseland's bike if he happens to get in front of Spies.
Just googled heights and weights: Spies - 5'11" @ 160 lb, Rossi - 5'11" @ 146 lb, Pedrosa and Elias - pixie size.

He may want to but he won't! I think Spies is clearly a better rider and I believe along with set up help and advice from Colin he will be definitely on Colins pace if not faster and will be a top 5-6 finisher consistently next year, possibly a podium if one of the ailens* DNFs. Spies has been quoted as looking at this race meeting as much needed extra testing for next year. I wish him all the best lets face it he can't do any worse than Toseland or anybody from 10th place back.
*Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo and Pedrosa.
I really don't think he will be fighting for the wins until he is on a factory bike. It's possible but I don't think so. The factory bikes are just a step ahead.
Whatever or who evere we want to win....we can all agree that this will be a interesting race, and that its gunna suck till next year.
I hope Spies does well, Rossi has had a serious threat with jorge. Stoner, if he had his recent speed would be hard to catch. It seems like nickys getting on better with the bike, I hope to see him improve. I also see the Edwards/Spies garage to be a 'friendly' place which will benifit them both.
I predict Spies ahead of Nicky tomorrow.
BTW- I like Nicky, but I think Spies will be the best rider in MotoGp for awhile (if he doesn't get hurt----*fingers crossed*)
Edwards 5th in the championship thanks to Spies who finished the race in 7th position!!

LOL! I was wondering why lorenzo looked so damned puffy during the interview; during his big moment his airbag went off! That must have made it a fun race for him

three mutants, 30 second gap, then edwards leading the rest. That's not washed up just yet

glad they got that on camera. 5th place, yeah everyone is right. why does he still have a motogp ride? too old and slow to ride with them.
By your logic, everyone who finished behind Edwards should lose their rides too. On a satellite ride, he beat the vast majority of factory rides in the race and the championship.

I hope Tech 3 make a big deal out of their all-Texan line up next year. Spies was far and away the most interesting thing about the race ... not counting the warm up lap that is Early days but Yamaha must be happy with that signing as a possible replacement for either of the factory riders.
250 cc RIP ... that was a way more interesting race IMO.
