I'm with Tricklidz.

Been using properly installed foam for many years. Mine apparently reduce noise by 33 db.

The tinnitis I suffer from was all gained by standing TOO CLOSE TO THE SPEAKERS, MAN.

I've been using EAR Neon Blasts for a while. High NRR, cheap when you buy in bulk, comfortable and best of all, they have flames.

Amazon.com: 3M 3121252 EòAòRsoft Yellow Neon Blasts Soft Foam Ear Plugs, Uncorded, Regular Size: Office Products

Thanks for all the replies. I'll research all of this when I get the time. But right now I'm wishing someone made an electronic, noise-cancelling earpiece like the Bose noise-cancelling headphones. Better yet why doesn't someone build earcups into a helmet with modern noise-cancelling technology. Who has startup money?

Hey, if you're passing them out I'd like to try a pair too.

+/- 15,000 hours in turboprop aircraft has taken its toll, even while wearing David Clarks with foam earplugs underneath. And the Boeing 737 I fly now doesn't exactly have the quietest cockpit in the world, either.

33db from foam ear plugs?

I don't believe that. Truth in advertising?

I cannot tell how many decibels they drop but I use Bilsom earplugs. Rode more than 200 highway miles yesterday and as usual no problem.
I get them at a local hardware store.

I've used many foamies and there is no doubt the Howard Leights work the best. Comfy and ultra quiet.
