Default Neil Hodgson to BSB in 2010... WTF?

Soup :: Hodgson Set For Return To British Superbike Series? :: 11-03-2009

Can't believe it... maybe that 1 second difference to the teammate was more than I originally thought.

Why should he stick around for a series that right now has no published schedule, and uncertain rules. He is doing the smart move.

Don't know that it means he's fallen... but it might be a way to open the door back to WSBK

I dont know what you guys are talking about. There are way more riderīs in WSBK from BSB than from AMA. And tbh, hardly anybody gives a ratīs ass about AMA over here. BSB is the WSBK feeder class and the competition seems really good.

Good move, hope to see him back in WSBK in 2011.

I agree, the US series is a dud and has been for the last decade when everyone decided to acquiesce to Mladin and Suzuki and then Spies and Suzuki.

BSB OTOH is awesome; top riders, top kit, and top racing. Find a series where week-in week-out you cannot predict the winner.

I get the BSB ever season on DVD and can watch it endlessly. In contrast I can watch any race of the last 10 years in AMA and not even begin to tell you which track they are on, the front is occupied by team Suzuki everytime.

Hodgson returning to BSB means a step into WSC territory. BSB is closer in spec to WSC and realistically Hodgson as a Brit has a greater chance of returning to WSC from the UK than from the US series.

The BSB championship has been great....until this year. A lot of good riders left for the WSBK championship. Camier was clearly above all other BSB riders this year. This season had some good racing but to be honnest 90% of the time the winner was known in advance.
