Default Taken down by douche-bag in an F-350!!!

Hey Fellas,

Well I haven't been around these parts in awhile. For good reason. On Sept. 1st I was minding my own business on a nice street ride heading back home at about 2:30pm on a beautiful day when some asshole decided I got a little to close to him while changing lanes and decided to file a protest by PURPOSELY knocking me off my sportster at about 50mph.

Long story short, I was knocked unconscious by the initial impact and came-to, face up, about 10 minutes later in the middle of a busy intersection. Luckily there were several peeps who saw the collision, and hopped out of the cars to block traffic so I wasn't run over!

I don't remember much after that point. I remember looking at blue sky through my open face shield and several people telling me to remain still until the ambulance got there. I have no memory of the ambulance ride, the ER or the CAT scan.

I spent a week in the University of Nebraska Medical Center with three broken ribs, heavily bruised lung, concussion, partially seperated shoulder and a bit of road rash. My full-face KBC helmet saved my bacon!!

For now I'm still on the mend. Last night was the first night I could attempt to sleep lying flat, but I had to revert back to the recliner after about 20 minutes. Can't even think about mounting Mrs. Bladerunner anytime soon. Doctor says he doesn't want me back to work until Oct. 16 but I don't have enough sick/vacation/holiday time to get paid that far out. I'm hoping to go back to work sometime late next week.

Fvcker who hit me was arrested for Willful Injury. Get this the asshat wasn't even driving his own truck, but was on a test drive from a dealership! You can't make that $hit up!

Anyway I got my insurance company and my private attorney on it, so hopefully in a few months things will be back to normal? I tell you what, I never even think about getting on a bike again without a full-face helmet.

See below for reference:

That's horrible. Glad to know you survived it and will make a full recovery. I hope Mr. Asshat gets what's coming to him.

Mouth breathers like that should do serious time, then be required to register wherever they live, like a sex offender so we can keep an eye on him if he maims anyone else. He needs a blanket party. Where are the Pagans when you need them?

All to familar to my ordeal back in '05. Took a year to get everything straight on the legal end and about that long to recover from multiple bone breaks. I am lucky I still get paid on short term disability (26 weeks worth) after missing my 5th consecutive day of work. I was out 5 1/2 weeks. Ran up $30k in medical bills to which I had to start paying until my attorney and insurance company got it settled. It sucks that motorcyclist have to suffer because of idiot cage drivers and their POS insurance companies that protect them knowing good and well they are at fault.

Good luck to ya
