That Bayliss was something else.

Yes I would have to say... I thought the ZX7R/R was one of best looking bikes of its day...

The wild green and blue paint, or all green was just pure race to me...
Too bad so many people hate on the Japanese designs of the 90's.

Sorry Simon... doesn't matter how many pics you post of the 999esque machine, its just plain ugly and not much can change that.

Maybe it was truly a great handling machine... in the looks department it was dead nasty lookin.

I like the 999 precisely for being different than the other Ducati's especially
the front lights with their contemporary interpretation. The fact that they are
on the sidelines as some "freak" creation makes them a great value
acquisition. Cliffs in Brookfield has a preowned 02 S with approx. 4k miles
for under $10k. How can you beat that when it comes to excellent handling,
power and looks.

I'd love to find a 2003 ZX-7 in Orange ; great looking bike with nice midrange torque for an I-4 . Disagree that the 999 is ugly ; I like the narrow , slab-side look , and they're relatively cheap .

WOW!! people like this bike???

As a race bike it's just passable, but as a road bike, it would have to be one of the most disgusting looking bikes of all time. I have tried to like it, but it's so hideous. Ducati obviously felt the same way 916 -> 1098, I'm sure the 749/999 years are ones they would like to forget with regards sales. The 748/916/996/998/1098/1198 are so much better looking.
