I, for one, will miss him on the tracks. Never understood the detractors who said/say he's a whiner...as in all the years of watching him race, I've never seen it. He's the consummate professional, and calls a spade a bloody shovel when he has to, which I think is great.

Curious that he says he's retiring from "AMA racing" and not 'motorcycle racing' , although he implies the latter when he says he wants to concentrate on his family . Mmm...
