The Ben looks like a man among boys at the moment.

14 point deficit now for Spies. I have to wonder if now Fabrizio will be instructed to give way to Haga, Fabio is 51 points back.

Haga's crash was a nasty one, got hit by his bike several times......
Last rumours are that he broke one or more vertebrea
Don't hope this will be the end of his season, would be sad for him, and the championship....

NASTY! It was only a matter of time before crash-happy Haga came back to WSBK. Spies is a MONSTER!

Not good, but better.

A CAT scan later revealed more promising results. The scan did not find any indication of recent fractured vertebrae, meaning that the worst of the danger has probably passed for Haga. However, the scan confirmed the results of earlier examinations, which showed that Haga had fractured his left shoulder blade and broken his right ulna, one of the two long bones in the forearm. Haga is due to have surgery to fix the broken arm, while the fractured shoulder blade is still being examined at the time of writing (10pm CET, Sunday 28th June).

Its that bloody wrist which is the biggest issue.

I hope he can recover in a few months and only miss one round of the championship. That wouldn't be the end of the world, considering Fabrizio's potential at the next two tracks is pretty strong as well.

BTW, where did you get the medical info Jamie?

Except for the first year of the championship where everybody was a rookie.

Brilliant riding by Spies, he is so analytical and a master of race strategy.

Great job by Biaggi in race one, looks like they are getting better with the Aprilia. Nakano got a good start in race two then highsided himself to the moon, look like he landed on his head.

Poor Haga, it seems he's his own worst enemy.

Haslam rode well, I wonder how he'd do on a bike with power equal to some of the factory bikes. They look like they are down 20 HP on the faster tracks.

Meh, Dr Ting has worked with Champions before, I'm sure he'll sort out a Runner-up in this case.

Haga... he seems doomed to never win the title. If it wasnt for Spies this would be his runaway year... he couldve possibly even missed a couple races with injury and still win it.
Makes his friendship with Spies even more remarkable. So many would just be bitter towards the rookie coming in and ruining things like that..... can you picture Biaggi making plans to BBQ with Spies after Donington races?

With the unfortunate accident from Haga, id say nothing will stop Spies from making history now, amazing.

Poor Haga I am surprised they made him walk away from the accident... maybe a little more caution would have been good.

Ben is stll pretty good... hopefully him winning this year will get him into MotoGP next year

Throw him in along with Rossi, Jorge and Stoner.. and the glory days will be back!!

Dang.......Yamaha is just mowing the competition down.....MotoGP and WSBK....yet another Yamaha banner weekend at the top level.....getting very humdrum now, race after race, week after week. What is totally remarkable about this is they have been able to pulverize the other makes with an inferior engine layout.....they can only hope to make V4 sounds instead of having an actual V4....like a kid with a toy car making "vroom, vroom" sounds. The entire manufacturing capacity of Yamaha Motor Company is totally stumped when it comes to actually making an engine so, in an abject admission of their inferiority, they are forced to pretend that their engine is actually another engine to mask their inability to actually make one of the "magic motors" so worshipped by the cognescenti. That is just so lucky for the other manufacturers.....if Yamaha could ever figure out how to make a proper engine, all of the other manufacturers would quickly go out of business. Of course, if Yamaha with their "fake" engine keeps crushing the wannabes, then all of the other companies will be forced to......as a guy who fancies himself as one of the world's leading experts on engine performance put it....forced to follow what works. Funny how the actual world works.....far more interesting than a "virtual" world.
