Default Single handed controls

I saw this bike at the STT track day at Road Atlanta last weekend.....guy has only one arm and has his bike set up this way.....

They say that he is quite fast.......quite a brave and determined rider!

I saw a kid at Jennings with the same set up just on the r/h side of an sv650. Kid was freakin fast as hell. Made me laugh though. I got passed by a 14 year old kid with one arm . Hows that for making ya feel like an old fart.....hahaha. I got to give him some credit though, he has deff. earned it!!!

Default Single Handed

I met a guy at Topeka who had a similiar setup. He had lost his left foot and converted his bike to right hand shift. Rules still required a rear brake so he added an extra lever.

The original bike belongs to George, he is the STT crash truck driver, and he is VERY FAST!!! I know that at Jennings he runs in the low 1:20s. The top lever is the clutch (which is duplicated on the left peg), the main lever is the front brake, and there is a thumb throttle. He uses a forearm brace that sort of clips onto the right bar.

When I was in the bike biz I had a customer who lost his left arm and had a limited amount of motion in the left leg from an industrial accident.

I sold him a Honda 400 automatic and did some mods for him. I relocated the left bar switch on a secondary section of 7/8 tubing on the right side, a larger diameter left grip for his hook and made the shifter bigger so it was easier for him to operate. He rode the wheels off of that thing rain or shine for years.
