Not very flattering of Stoner by someone who is up close and personal with all of these guys. Wonder if that maybe is his Achilles heel....a little too tightly wound? He seems to be bothered by the Yammies this year a bit.....mental or mechanical? Interesting.

"Are you kidding me?" he said, lifting a lip. "He's perfectly OK. He qualified in fourth position, for crying out loud."
The only reason for the wheelchair is so he doesn't hurt it while off the bike. These guys have far higher pain thresholds than you and I and some commentator trying to stir the shit.
Again we need to remember Stoner is an Aussie, we say it how we see it ... and don't care if everybody agrees or not. This guy/commentator got upset because Stoner had a different view point than him ... get a life.

Sorry have to agree with Stoner with this comment The only reason for the wheelchair is so he doesn't hurt it while off the bike. These guys have far higher pain thresholds than you and I and some commentator trying to stir the shit.

Na he's upset because Stoner is an arrogant little p*ick.

Then it would not matter what he asked Stoner ... the writers attitude would have been the same.
What honestly do you expect a guy to say about his competitor? ... "Gee mate I'm going to go over to him right now and give his back a rub" ... he's 4th on grid thus he's obviously able to ride his bike fine ... Rugby players are the same, ie. if the guy makes it on to the field then he is fair game, they don't tackle softer because they know he has an injury.
Also nice guys don't win races. And please don't answer that Rossi does, because he's no nice guy ... he is a very clever manipulator that can also ride the snot out of a bike. I guess maybe Stoner needs to learn to simply patronise the stupid journos ... ie: effectively say nothing (watch a F1 driver interview for a perfect example).

"For sure we've understood that to make the Ducati turn, you need a bigger effort than what Valentino was used to, physically too, and we didn't expect that. This bike is a lot more physical, the way to make it turn with the required precision is certainly the thing we must focus on at the moment."

look at that form.. he's like a gazelle! or an ANGEL! *swoon*

Nicely put.
I tend to think that most championship-types tell it as they see it. A certain K. Roberts, E. Lawson, and M. Doohan come to mind. Some people call it arrogance. Others call it confidence. There are always exceptions, of course. Spencer when he was on his game was always a gentleman. Rossi also rarely speaks bluntly but when he does (Gibernau Curse) one might want to take him seriously.
