"Exercise restraint and discipline, only responding to posts from legit customers and those with constructive positive intent, you will find that the handgrenades explode harmlessly. You have many satisfied customers who are happy to have the parts you've made. My suggestion to you is keep making good parts, keep getting more customers, take care of them and let them speak for you."
Rolf: "I say it vill look better vith gills and tiny headlight."
Gunnar: "Nein! It vill have a massive air duct, and elongated headlights!"
Rolf: "Ve are running out of time! Zis argument puts ze whole project in jeopardy!"
Gunnar: "Ach! Zis is true... I have idea."
I think you nailed it. It's the bike designed by Hans and Frans. "What's amatta, you don't like piss yellow you girly man!'
Looks good to me. Don't mind the green either. At least it's not black or red (the usual predictable colors). The swing arm rocks. But there's so much competition out there, and then there's price. My bikes an '02 and I'm still waiting for something that makes me want to change - ain't happening yet. Went for a ride today - the RC51 is drenched in soul.

I have a deposit on one of these already, now if they would just bring it to the US.
Sold my 999 a couple months ago so I would have room in the garage for it.
Expected to be the end of the year or Jan so it will be a long summer waiting, but I do have an 08 K1200GT to ride till I can put one of these next to it.
Try again BMW... Split pea soup ain't a bike color... and next year
you need to change the crank to fire like Yamaha's "Virtual V4"... the
old screamer is headed for extinction...

I like you too... but what really ruins everything is censorship...
i know you know the definition of censorship as well as i do Larry...dont use the word trying to put someone on the defensive in order to give you a clear shot at more of that nonesense in every thread.
censorship would be me telling you cant and taking steps to block your opinion or posts........WE are simply ASKING you to stop that because you ruin the threads in this forum we all used to enjoy so much. You could simply start a thread about how BMW would benefit from a V4? no one here would have a problem with that (far from censorship, if you still want to miss use the word) and leave this thread clear of yet another hikack by your V4 craze.
I just don't get the asymmetrical headlights. I suppose one side will flash while riding?
I actually like it, one is the low and the other high beam I believe. Gives it a nice uniqueness that beemers seem to have these days. However, some people call that "uniqueness" ugly .
Drsus... no one in Speedzilla is the official spokesman with the all
the loudspeakers... so if I utter "shut up" to you... that is
censorship... I only have the convenience of ignore... capice???
actually if drsus isnt an admin or a moderator and has no power to censor you, or even if he is and doesnt exercise said power, it isnt censorship, its just a friend telling you that you ought to STFU cause your being an asshat you are free to ignore that friendly advice and continue being an asshat and let everyone on the net know you are an asshat if that is your choice. censorship would be if you were forced to comply and stop being said asshat which you are not, feel free to continue the asshat behavior
I thought this to be an interesting statment about the bike
"Better combined ABS than Honda, better integrated traction control than Ducati, better intake adjustment and exhaust valve control than the Yamaha, better use of multi-mode engine mapping than the Suzuki, better power than anything bar the MV Agusta and (allegedly) better ergos than the lot"*
you gotta love this from the same article
So it seems BMW have integrated these variable engine maps in such a way as to make them genuinely useful, giving you the opportunity to scare seven shades of shit out of yourself in all conditions, with a good degree of safety.

Over the years and decades, the principle of combining a straight-four power unit with an aluminium bridge frame has been consistently developed and has become the dominating technical concept particularly in the supersports segment. The reason, quite simply, is that a motorcycle of this kind offers significant benefits in terms of riding dynamics, long-distance endurance, and straightforward production.
Who would have thunk such a thing?
