if you think its good to watch on the tube, go see it in person you wont be disapointed.
+! Aside from Macau, maybe the most bad ass race in the world.
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
Wow Mad Sunday... no speed limit while enjoying the whole perverted road to
yourself... now that would be giggle in the helmet fun... I'd probably cookie
right their in the saddle...
Riding on Mad Sunday is like showing up at the Gap Saturday afternoon.. too many idiots. My first Mad Sunday, I was sweeping through the easy part of the mountain section at about 110 and got passed by a rider (felt like he was 30-40mph faster) on a K4/K5 GSXR1000 with his girlfriend on the back wearing beach attire. That's the example that stands out the most. The years I've been there they also introduced Mad Tuesday which was somewhat better. Practice week, between sessions, that's the best time to ride the circuit. There are some roads in between that connect the viewing sections that offer a wonderful experience, both challenging and picturesque.
