Great race all around!

I'll never understand Stoner dominating a race and the other 3 Ducatis doing absolutely nothing! And I'm not sure why Kawasaki even bothers fielding a team, not to mention adding a 3rd bike next season. Those 5 riders/bikes are just throwing money down the drain. Spies has 20 pts in 3 races and West/Hypekins have 96 pts in 30 races? Team Kawasaki is getting beat in the Team Standings by a one man satellite team, with a rookie rider nonetheless. And yet we have some clown running around here saying Nicky shouldn't have a GP ride next year?

Amazing race by Stoner, great race by Rossi and good race by Nicky!

The way I saw it, Rossi rode an amazing race as he started from 12th. Like him or not, you have to respect what he did out there today. Stoner did Stoner, he took off and never looked back. Nicky tried to go with him and rode a good ride, nothing spectacular. The interesting part was the fight for 3rd-7th. I enjoyed watching the race. Although, I wonder the outcome had Rossi started closer to the front?

Without a doubt, was a great race by Rossi after starting from 12th and being sore from that qualifying wad. Just wish they would've showed the fight for 4th+ on the last lap as it sounded like there was some bad blood brewing between Toseland and Dovi. Oh, and poor Turd!

Good to see Nicky in 6th place in the standings after missing a few races on a team that doesn't care about him. He didn't come from 12th to 2nd, but getting 3rd and being the highest finishing Honda (and Michelin) rider was quite a ride in my eyes.

Good performance by Nicky - his tires went off near the end and Rossi on the Hard/Hard combo could reel him in. Good showing by Toseland too on the Tech 3 Yamaha holding VR on the works bike up for as long as he did (and actually overtaking him at one point). Stoner gave good Stoner in front of his home crowd.

However IMO all that was upstaged by the 250 race - that had to be one of the best motorcycle races I have seen for years. Simoncelli and Bautista rock!

Rossi's ride was great to watch, 12th to 2nd is something by anyone's yardstick.
I felt bad for Nicky as you could just see how much he struggles with that bike; it's not meant to be ridden the way he likes to ride. Glad to see him on the podium nonetheless and next season should be fantastic.
Stoner did an exemplary job. There's nothing to take away from him today. My hat's off to him and his win.

I was hoping Hayden would be able to give Casey a little fight before falling back, but I was still impressed how he hung it out there being really aggressive. Can't WAIT to see him on the Duc next year!!!!

Rossi giving everyone a reality check and letting them know why he has as many fans as he does..

Now this was some GREAT racin' today.....both the 250 and the GP were real scraps......major props to Nicky.....he rode that bike as hard as anyone ever could have and Honda has done nothing but crap on him for years....that has to be hard to take from someone who gives every last drop of blood to his team....what a raw deal he has gotten from the sh!ttest manufacturer in the series.....next year he will have a chance to be treated like the champ that he is.......I hope that Honda never has a podium again as long as MotoGP exists.

Now that I have a bee in my bonnet....one more thing to get off my chest....how come Edwards can't even ride worth a crap on a track that he knows better than most and can't hold off rookies on satellite teams? He needs to find somewhere that he can be competitive and not waste the time and money on him riding where he just plain can't earn his paycheck.

Hats off to Casey.....he rode the race he wanted and no one could catch him......good trophy to add to his impressive collection.

Yes, yes, and yes. Stoner was impressive as always, and Rossi would have had his hands full with Stoner had he not started twelveth on the grid. And just how many other riders could start from the fourth row and finish in second place? Echoing what has already been said, props to Nicky for at least hanging with Stoner during the first half of the race. At least is shows that the boy still has some chops! I would love to see Nicky pull the rabbit out of the hat next year on the Duck. Hopefully Nicky's riding style will allow him to be as cometetive as Stoner as it appears they both have a similar riding style, i.e, very aggressive/beat the bike into submission.

And maybe someone somewhere could explain the revolving door that occupies at least HALF of the spots on the GP grid. I mean, come on, WTF are guys like Hypekins and Edwards still doing in GP's? Here I pick up one of my roadracing magazines from that last month or two to see an Alpinestars ad featuring Hypekins, with the ad title, "One vision, one goal" and I'm thinking, well Astars, what is your goal, to be like Hypekins and never accomplish anything other be a complete waste of space?? Amazing. With all of the riding talent the world over, how-the-hell do these non-performers keep their rides at the GP level with ZERO results?? Please someone explain it to me. Hell, Kawasaki should give more rides to guys like Jamie Hacking, or for gods sake, to Robert Jensen for all I care. They couldn't do any worse than having Hypekins toodle around the track in twelveth place for Chrissakes. Disgusting if you ask me. As much as I resent stick-and-ball sports for all the over-paid premadonas, at least in the stick-and-ball sports; if you ain't got the talent, you'll be replaced in very short order.

Rant over. Go VALE!

If anyone thinks that Hayden is washed up, they didn't watch this race.

Started on the front Row AGAIN, the only thing that held him back from at least keeping in touch with Stoner and keeping 2nd place was his tires. Dude was sliding EVERYWHERE!

Another podium finish, Good for you Nicky! I hope he wins the last race of the year and tells HRC to kiss his arse at the post race conference.

Yes, where exactly is our own village idiot mrgrn? We need to read about how Nicky sucks and doesn't deserve his ride. The last few races Nicky has rode extremely well, maybe getting away from Honda will be the just the boost he needs to be a contender again.

Another little fact is that unless Pedrosa wins the championship in 2009, he would have taken longer to be champ than Nicky. Hayden was a rookie in '03 and won in '06. Pedrosa was a rookie in '06. Times-a-tickin' Dani boy.

I'm no fan of Hopkins but when he does well, I'm at least gracious enough to give him credit.

Also I'm sorry but just MHO but please don't put Hopkins and Edwards in the same sentence.

Edwards has had a long career with multiple championships, he's been crucial in development of tires and bikes. He has been competitive, looks to be a good team mate and a positive reflection of the sport.

Hopkins on the other hand IMHO has done nothing but be an advertising gimick for Kawasaki and Monster in the US and overseas.

The bottom line is this:

Rossi proved that if you're not on the 1st or 2nd row on the grid, you have absolutely no chance in hell of winning a GP.

Kawi needs to get it together. The satellite teams are just grid fillers.

Im not sure that could be a bragging point for him anymore.

I kinda feel bad for him with Michelin pulling out of the GP, thats one career avenue that's been cut short for him.

Not sure if I agree with that. Rossi's won lotsa races from beyond the 2nd row and w/out taking the time to look Im sure others have too.

Spectacular performance by Rossi . He was pushing so much he almost dumped it twice , and if he had been able to pass Toseland a few laps sooner , he might have pressured Stoner into making a mistake . His nickname should be "The Maestro" .

Didn't get to see the race, taxing kids around , but qualifying was super exciting. Stoner appears to have no fear ... other than of Rossi.

Hopefully next time they battle side by side, Stoner will push Rossi right to the very edge of the track at full tit and show him he can too play tough. He just has to keep him out wide so he cannot shoot up the inside and then kill the corner for Stoner. Otherwise the Rossi demonstration rides will continue!!
