what happened to Kimbo is what everyone expected. People forget Kimbo couldnt even make it through the first two weeks of UFCs reality show because he was such a bad cage fighter. Brawling is one thing, going up against pros is another thing. The fact that a guy that hadnt fought in one year took kimbo down with such basic defense and strike shows how Kimbo had no idea what he was getting into...Shamrock was gonna pound him..and knowing Shamrocks style, he was gonna make it last, to show just how he dominated him and punished him to show its no fluke, he hates "accidental" knock outs.
sorry, what i meant to say he was part of the auditions for the show which go for a a few weeks as they narrow down the field of possible fighters in the show, he didnt make it past the second week of try outs. I know this from my friends Eric Bryant and Ian Carver who are both Chaos in the Cage fighters and also tried getting in the show at one point.
i used to hate when it went to the ground...but the more and more you learn about ground work the more you get to like it and love it. Theres so much going on once two good grapplers hit the ground that its almost more exciting than stand up...almost
fights like this is the reason MMA is the best fighting....eventough Lydel won agains an out of shape Silva it makes my point.
I would like to see less wrestling personally. Some of the fights are simply amazing.
American wresttling or are you generalising ground fighting in general? I am also bored to tears by "college wrestlers", but all of the submission grappling arts are incredibly interesting. There are a million ways to win and just as many ways to lose...
