Default single tire rule

I heard from Eurosport that Michelin will not offer up a bid for 2009. They read the releasse on air for the qualifiying at P.I. sounds like it will be for 3 years. That kinda sux.

Just as one tire can be deemed superior over another and filter down to a
single supplier... so will the war between the 2 competing engine architects
come down to one... my money is on the V4... narrow as an arrow... light as a
feather... it holds the advantage in MotoGp... and I shall continue to pressure
the manufactures to ante up their best engine architects so you all may enjoy
the V4 advantage as well... aren't I nice???

Remember this is a single tire supplier, not a control tire like in WorldSBK. Each team can still work with Bridgestone and develop the tire they need/want. Of course the lean is still towards the factory squads due to the higher budget versus the factory supported.
