Aah pipes! The magic of aftermarket pipes!
I'll likely get flamed here as we all believe a particular brand holds magical qualities.
Looking back at this I recall a few years ago a company that made perhaps 80% of the pipes and cans for most aftermarket brands. Being in industrial fabrication management while I was employed in Cali I came across this operation. Perhaps it is an Italian outfit that makes these systems for Arrow, Akrapovic, Micron, Termignoni, and several other well recognized brands. Once I researched it I immediately saw the resemblance in design and build between all the brands. Traveling to Italy several times for work and as I had contracted Ferrari design to do a percentage of project development for our product I was exposed to this company as a recommended Ferrari vendor for motorized vehicle exhaust fabrication.
Materials, closing bands, rivets, cores, bending, surface finish, and so on. All the same. Just a different label distinguished the brands. Maybe a slightly different end cone for exclusivity.
I should have retained the name of the company as their website showed all the brands but at the time I just smiled and accepted that as a job shop popping out a commodity this operation was on target and had good marketing penetration.
