It's the parts that you can't see that make it distinctive. For one, the air filter has four more pleats than the last year's model. Just gotta know where to find the technological advances that distinguish the latest model.

Just another Suzuki to me but they are selling so they must be doing something right. I guess the bright side for Suzuki is that it STILL looks better than the 1KRR by a longshot.

Hey Weed I can't see the engine configuration, it is covered up with the same old tired looking bodywork!
and yes if you look closely it does have that heavy exhaust, must be ordered to do so by Yoshimura!

GSX-R1000 Overview : MOTORCYCLE | GLOBAL SUZUKI
Lighter, faster, standard drill model evolution(no traction control though curiously). I thought tightening up SBK racing regs was supposed to make for more interesting road bikes, seems like yamaha is the only one adding any real value to the segment next year.

Same old system as before.
Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) offers push-button selection of three performance settings to suit riding conditions and personal tastes. Now the switch is relocated on the left handlebar control module

I thought that was just an engine map selector switch to reduce power and throttle response, not a TC system that electronically regulates engine output based on wheel speed discrepancy.
