Gibbers back on the Ducati?
Sete Gibernau Signs For Ducati | MotoGPMatters.com | Kropotkin Thinks
Maybe. Silly season in full effect.
He would definitely be an asset for next year. If Hayden struggles, Gibernau on a fifth bike or Alice bike would be good to get in the way of championship rivals to Stoner.

Nothing against Gibernau. I was a fan of his when won races on a Repsol based 500cc Twin angainst EQUAL displacement fours back in the day.
But I have to ask... what will he bring to the table that we have not already seen?

Any news on Hayden? Someplace I read he might head over to WSBK on Ducati factory taking Bayliss's spot.

Sete's only 2-stroke win was on the Suzuki 500 V4 back in 2001.
I agree that he's had his moment in the sun.

Gibernau was really the only person who could "bring it" to Rossi on equal terms. I still hate the guy lol

I don't have anything against Gibernau... but I'm so tired of recycled racers coming through...
We need more talent to come into the series, thats all I was getting at.
I might have been a little exuberant on Gibernau's part on the Vtwin. Ooops.

2nd that.
BUT Hayden has never pretended to be faster than Rossi, he has always given Rossi respect what he has accomplished. I mean the guy is a legend already, 90 plus GP wins, 60+ in premier class, 7 World Championships on different Brands and motorcycles.

The hot update on Sete reads as follows,(all confirmed by Gilete Nieto the son of Angel and former 125 racer himself.)
A project is being put together,(which is well advanced.) to get a 5th Ducati GP9 on the grid next year. The team will be headed up by Angel/Gilete Nieto and will have a major Spanish sponsor,(Repsol?Or a bank I suggest.
They have ready to join them 3 "of Ducati's top men") No doubt a relationship was forged by Sete when he raced for the factory team and when testing the bike a little while ago.
Ready to rejoin Sete is his former chief mechanic Martinez who is preently with Kawasaki.

Sete has the mental makeup of a baby seal. Only two people have been able to do what Sete has dreamed of, take the title from Rossi! And they'll both be riding shiny red Ducs next year.

True, but he took the title from Creville, not Rossi. Which also makes my above statement incorrect as Stoner took the title from 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden, and NOT Rossi. So basically, only ONE person took the title from Rossi.

True, but every year that Rossi is competing for the championship, you could say that whoever wins the title has taken it away from Rossi, as he is expected to win it.
