Larry, you are no doubt a motorcycle lover and applaud your tenacity in getting your #02 stateside. And you are no doubt also a motorcycle racing fan.
Posting track records to prove a point, well, proves nothing. For example, of those 5 guys listed, who was the most talented? I'd argue Barros. You must clearly understand by now that at this level of racing, it is the racer that that makes the difference, not the hardware they pilot (though it doesn't hurt).
Also not noted in yanking these types of stats are things such as track conditions (when was it last paved, has the configuration changed slightly, etc...), weather (wind direction and speed, last time it rained, etc..), changes in regulations, etc... I'm sure if I looked hard enough, I could find somewhere in this forum where you've argued these same points in your defense shortly after some RC45 record was broken by a "better" bike or rider.
I never claimed and no where in this thread and nor on the Michelin web site, did anyone make mention of or list "mere sportbike" or "just another sportbike". The motivation here seems clear to me now. You are over the top pompous about your '45. Someone posts a link to win a motorcycle. You don't "think" yours is rightly justified for any of the categories listed in order to enter. But rather than leave the Michelin site, and click onward to another Speedzilla thread, you reply to this one simply to crow about how there is no category labeled "rare exotic homologated special". Everyone and anyone that's been on 'zilla for more than 2 weeks knows you own a '45. But just in case, let me notify the press for you...I HEREBY DECLARE THAT AN RC45 IS NOT A SPORTBIKE, BUT RATHER A "rare exotic homologated special". LET IT BE KNOW THAT FOR NOW ON, WHENEVER ONE CATEGORIZES OR CLASSIFIES MOTORCYCLES, A CATEGORY OR CLASSIFICATION MUST BE RESERVED BY THE LABEL OF "rare exotic homologated special" SO THAT RC30, RC45, ZX7RR AND R7 OWNERS CAN BE INCLUDED.
Puuuuhhhhleeeeeezzzzz!!!!
