Actually if you read the quote correctly Larry; the shot was at you. You are not symbiotic with the RC45, even though I'm sure you'd love to be, so no I wasn't taking a shot at the RC45. Nice try though.

Skippy the Bush Kangaroo, now there is a show I haven't seen in some time. Now I have the theme song stuck in my head all day. Thanks a lot!

Salutes to your gramps... Okinawa was hell on earth... does he still talk like
this "watch out for those sneaky Japs?"
I never correct any Vet who has personally fought the Japanese... they are
entitled to their War time slurs... we aren't...

It is PRECISELY because of them that we ARE entitled to speak how we wish!
If it were not for them, we could all be speaking fluent Jap!

Jeez, talk about getting OT!
I love V4s....but I'm not clear what their advantages are? Something about shorter cranks? Perhaps someone could post some carefully drawn diagrams of the relative merits?
or not!
There, back on track.....

For some minutae, kike was coined in the early 1900s. Arriving at Ellis island, immigrants had tags placed on them to expedite processing. A + meant christian and a 0 meant jewish. Not being able to pronounce circle they pronounced it Kikle.
Many peeps had destinations which were written on the tags. Some coming to a strange new country assumed that the destination also meant their new American name. Lots of Italians suddenly became Tony. (To New York)

New Orleans is not doing so bad, thanks - Unemployment is low, the population is up to 72% of pre-storm, and school enrollments are rising.
Of course, all is not peaches and cream there - rents are high (scarcity), and families re-building their homes are finding it costs an average of $35k more than what federal assistance will provide. But, at least there's work and services and the city still has its cultural attractiveness.
Not such a bad story from New Orleans lately - but I bet the residents thank you for your genuine concern.
