TWC, you are a troll and are looking for crap, hence the fact you have not answered my question? what issue, not you troll at speedzialla issue or your toss a line and and leave but the real issue?
I don't have to defend myself as i have not made and sold a RC30 carbon gas tank and it failed. this is a project for me and my RC30 and i know you don't even have one so why the interest. i will tell you, cause you are a hater and here trolling
go make your own tank, or try offering something to the speedzilla community other than your banter and maybe i will be more willing to offer you info

sure, and BST wheels explode too. i do understand carbon tanks as well as wheels etc have their limitations but so do aluminum tanks and magnesium wheels
I am looking to save weight(should get this tank with gas cap and petcock under 4lb) and make a one off tank by hand for a neat bike and that is what i wanted and what i will get.
Very few custom RC30's are around and i am looking to make a VERY unique one at that and if that does not fit well with people then so be it, they don't have to own it either you know?
it would have been nice for people to appreciate the efforts i am putting into a rare and custom project that they might likey never get a chance to see otherwise instead of questioning if my tank will break when crashed or if it will seal well after a few years
i will be into this tank when done for less than $400 not including the donor tank and fuelcel wanted $1700 for a one off so i am $1300 ahead and i have the mold to make a new one every year for less than $150 LOL
take off the horse blinders and look side to side instead of straight ahead

As a member of the grammar nazi club and the encyclopedia brown club I feel the need to clarify the meanings of the words imply and infer...
"Imply" is when you make a statement about something. >>>> Outgoing thought!
"Infer" is when you are thinking about something, perhaps from a statement where someone else "implied". >>> Incoming thought!
Carry on. I'm sorry.

Dude -I'm not arguing about it, I actually like the idea.... I just wanted to know if there was an internal bladder that actually holds the fuel. While watching the Military Channel, they talked about helicopter gas tanks with internal bladders that are OK even after being hit with shrapnel and I thought it was an excellent/inexpensive/simple solution that would address some of the concerns mentioned by others. I can understand your frustration, but geez dude - chill, not everyone is looking to harass you - you may even get an idea or two or even a sale out of the discussion...
It was discussions on forums like this that helped Yamaha realize that the R6 had issues with the shape of the tank that caused ruptures and sometime resulted in fiery messes...
And I do understand that CF rims randomly detonate - that's why I own 2 sets of BST's...

No worries - it is that time of year where people have cabin fever & are on the edge...
I am still interested in a set of wedding rings as I mentioned in a PM. Let me know when you ever get to them.

Look at the surfaces of these parts, see how they are all rippley like that.... everything I make comes out looking like glass and not all lumpy, sure yours it looks shiny but it looks unrefined... very uneven surface just hold it up to the light at an angle and check out the way the light reflects off of it....
I don't need luck, luck has nothing to do with it

See this is what a propper surface should look like, perfectly smooth, like glass, this was before clear...
Even for cosmetic bits yours leave a lot to be desired...

When you guys start banging gas tanks out of alloy you'll have something to brag about.
'Til then, simmer down!

OK, once again the same pic you always post and they always say b4 clear, can't you manage a pic with clearcoat?
please stop posting your products in my tank thread or i will ask Dave to make you go away as you are breaKing forum rules and have no place here and trying to go against me is silly and uncalled for and unprovoked

The buyer wanted the option of spraying their own clear...
oh don't be threatened.... yes they are beautiful, I'm not soliciting them, I was just showing the difference in surface quality...
Here is some zx6r side cover that have clear... don't give me any of that "don't post your things in my thread" BS cause you asked for clearcoated pics...

oh and regardless of before clear or not..... it's mirror smooth, unlike your surfaces that was my point plain and simple... I'm not sure why you keep coming back to the clear coated surface (before/aft whatever), that will not eliminate or make it look lumpy like yours do so I'm confused what your point is..

I agree this thread has really degenerated, but you led it here. My first post was in hopes of offering you a suggestion or an opinion, but you are too good for anyone elses opinions. a different perspective or approach is never a thing to scoff at, but you are obviously adamant and have tunnel vision in your own ways to consider anything that others might have to say, and not even giveing it a chance... this lack of weighing apternatives or reluctance to learn or grow probably translates to your products...
For you thinking that I was out to fish for something or troll around was a load of crap and all based on your own insecurities, I never hinted at anything like that. You have a tendancy to assume the worst of people instantly... I thought that | |
