Default Problem for Honda's MotoGP Engine?

Looks like Hayden isn't happy with the direction Pedrosa lead the development of the new engine.

MOTOGP: Honda's engine dilemma continues…, motorsport news, results, features, teams, drivers, updates

"It's just a different engine," replied Nicky, when asked why it wasn't as good. "This engine spec is the spec Dani chose to go with for the spring-valve. It's smooth and easy to ride, but its overall performance isn't real high."

"All I can do is ride the bike and focus on what I've got," reflected Nicky. "I think the bike will be all right. We'll see. We'll know a lot more when we get to that first race. We've made some progress, but for sure our rivals look real strong now, so we've got a lot of work still to do if we want to be a contender."

Every good competitor knows to lay out the excuses first rather than after the race!

PS: I like Hayden and wish him nothing but the best. But it seems the crying and whining is contagious at this level of competition.

I think it's tit for tat, laying down team dynamics etc. playing with your opponents psyche.

Funny though, it's a V4, I mean isn't it perfect for every rider?

My thoughts exactly... are the seas red with blood? It could be that Armaggedon is just around the corner......

Maybe they should switch to a gutless and antiquated I-4......

Hayden excuse timeline:

2006 --> My bike has a bad clutch, Dani's bike has a good clutch, they make me ride this bike with a bad clutch.

2007 --->> My bike is too small, Dani's bike is the right size for him, they make me ride this bike that is too small.

2008 ---->>> My bike has a bad engine, Dani picked this engine, they make me ride this bike with a bad engine.

2007 --->> My bike is too small, Dani's bike is the right size for him, they make me ride this bike that is too small. Well hmmm only pedrosa could do anything on that minimoto!

2008 ---->>> My bike has a bad engine, Dani picked this engine, they make me ride this bike with a bad engine. Well hmmm still faster than most of the others including Little Bitch Dani( like what kind of a man has an i at the end of his name)

If the bike was better in 2007 trim than why is it bigger?

Not for every rider... only the ones that prefer "smooth and easy to ride" over
the explosive and hard to ride MotoGp bike...

I'm just sayin' that the guy who "never makes excuses" has sure been making a lot of them in the last couple years.

Who doesn't make excuses by your definition, take your time, I'll wait.

Nicky isn't even on the "Bitch scale".

Oh, the Dani-Hate just keeps growing like a cancer doesn't it fellas?

Unfortunately- Dani's gonna trounce Nick this year, and Trick Daddy will be shopping for a new team and new nickname by September 1st. Maybe he can hook up with Rizla Suzuki and change his name to Puff Daddy?

Sure, but it's got to be for something like a T-Shirt or hat. My wife looks at me like I'm some kind of chronic Las Vegas gamble-holic when I settle up these year-end bets... win OR lose.

How about the loser contributing to the official 247 "I'm-your-husband-so-please-don't-look-at-me-that-way manhood protection Airfence Action fund? The purpose of the fund is to raise enough money (and awareness) to purchase and strategically deploy sections of Airfence in the areas of your home where you and your wife are most likely to come into contact with one another, be it physically, verbally or visually. With proper installation and deployment oversight by competent domestic relations marshals and corner workers, your chances of surviving and safely walking away from direct impacts arising out of high speed sarcastic remarks and/or emotional highsides caused by emasculating, withering spousal stares are greatly enhanced.
