How Come No Cool Japanese Parts for VFR800?
Simon or others:
I've not seen really cool Japanese parts from Over, Argas, K-Factory, Moriwaki or any others for the VFR.
How come?
Are there any?

Harris used to make some nice stuff for the VFR. Ive got some carbon goodies from them. They made some rearsets but have discontinued them. Ive always wanted wheels for my VFR. Ive seen some conversions of the axle from a Ducati so it would accept all the nice after market wheels.
Dynamo Humm made some big bore kits for the VFR.

Other than Two Mothers you arent going to find many companies willing to develop a sport touring bike that doesnt have sales figures to justify R&D. Id be interested to see the sales figures for the VFR in Japan. I know they love the bike in Europe and the US sells a few. But does the bike suit Japan. Do other "ST" sell in japan?

there are many aftermarket companies in japan, but 90 percent of them are very small operations and need to cater for sectors where they can profit the most
The sports touring sector in japan is one where european bikes(BMWs especially)are favoured over japanese bikes so there isnt much demand for VFR800 stuff
but i do see a few of them around, and alot have slip ons made by yoshimura,TSR or yamamoto racing
Its a shame Honda dont so something with the VFR800 engine(same cc rating as the moto gp bikes, and many companies here have experience with Honda V4 tuning such as moriwaki, takeda engineering to name a few)
here are a few vfrs currently available(by the way the police use them here, these and the older vfr750 based bikes)

At the Busy Little Shop I machine my own custom rear set design but I've
only sold only one set of custom machined rear sets for the 5th Gen VFR...
but I sold over 100 VFR Peg Blocks... you tell me which part is cooler...
5th and 6th Gen VFR Peg lowering Blocks...
VFRD for more info...
Vfr Peg Lowering Blocks... - VFRD
I also only built up one VFR racer... note the slicks...

Larry,
Do the complete rearsets raise the height of the VFR pegs from stock? I drag my pegs on every ride in the twisties and track.
PM me a price. They look tasty!!!

OMG!.. Larry what an Awesome JOB!! But Why make a note of the slicks?
When the first thing that catchs my eye is there is NO Exhaust canister hanging out the side and then the SIZE of the Front Calipers! Man they are Friggin' HUGE! Then this last pix. with the exhaust in the tail!... It's funny because I'm stuck on the older VFRs and VFs... So much so that I even forget that the newer VFRs have the undertail exhaust... LOL
Also, Killer Job with the rearsets too!!
Peace Jeff

I always thought a great sleeper would be a RC45 with a couple of the right tweaks dressed in VFR clothes. You could really make someone miserable.

Hey Larry,
Question(s) for you, I was in such awe over seeing this Bad Boy yesterday I didn't think to ask you, do you recall what you had for weight and HP #s?
I'm still flipping over this thing,... Sweet Job!

My Race Sets are up and back only 10mm but whats more important is that
they are in about 1 inch over stock... my price is 600 + shipping to cover
materials and time...

Weight is around 427 dry and I think the engine has HRC pistons and cams but
no dyno run yet... I think Jody is looking for 124RWHP...
You're looking at Air Tech RC45 fairings and CBR 600 full race tail cowl... the
exhaust is all custom...

 Good job !
I'm looking @ your last pic of the rear-sets, I can't tell for sure but with your shift linkage, did you set it up GP shifting ??
If so, great job, because thats what that bike needs @ the track to help with being smoother
p.s. looks like the '05 VFR with the '86 HRC 1000R asperated motor we put in it job, We hand built the sub-frame (out of aircraft scrape Ti) & undertail exhaust as well
Again, great job !

Hey Taz,
You have any pictures of it?
I am asking because I would love to see it, as I've got a VF1000R That I customized with CBR600R rims front and back, I also modded the my shock so I have adj. ride height.
Hey Larry, PM a number and time that would be good to call please...
Peace Jeff

Simon, very nice link. I have a VFR750 and have a good collection of pics of VFRs and saw this one on the site you linked to....
¥Û¥ó¥À¡¡£Ö£Æ£Ò£¸£°£°¡¡|¡¡¿·¼Ö¡¦Ãæ¸Å¥Ð¥¤¥¯¸¡º÷¥µ¥¤¥ È¡¡GooBike.com
However, when I right click to save the pic....nothing happens. Any idea of how to copy this pic? Much thanks.
Yeah, I wish they made aftermarket parts for the VFR's but zero, zip, zilch on that. I do have a Two Brothers slip-on that is ungodly LOUD and a Puig dark windscreen but have not found a single other part anywhere in the world.

Man, this is an awesome looking piece of kit.
Well done.
I've always liked the VFR, and you've inspired me.
Keep up the great work.
