Exactly.

Best package this year, by FAR - Stoner + Ducati + Bridgestone, of course!

PS. I rooted for Casey this year (despite KNOWING that Rossi is the best rider) because, well....I like Ducati...and I think Casey was phenomenal this year, and totally blew me away with his maturity and growth from his "Crashes Anonymous" status last year. He was incredible.

You're deranged!

OK, if the Ducati is not the best bike in your world...
what is????

Interesting to see the difference in reactions from Vale and Nicky when things arent going "their" way.....Vale snivels and blames EVERYONE (but himself) on poor results, whereas Nicky keeps his mouth shut (publicly) and soldiers on.......I've said it before and I'll say it again, put 'em both on equally prepped "mile" bikes and turn 'em loose with the big boys and see who's got the cahones........

The thing that baffles me is on how arrogant ppl get in saying Rossi would of DEFINITELY beat Casey on the exact same equipment. In reality none of you know this to be fact, its a pretty good assumption but no way would it be fact.

I say this only cuz IMHO Casey looked every bit of a Champion from the start of this season just like Rossi did in 2001 and 2002. Now if he takes a dive next season, then I can see you guys making that claim but by saying Rossi was the best rider this yr it really does diminish Casey's accomplishments.

I'd fully agree with you that it's a pretty good assumption that Rossi would have beaten Casey on the exact same equipment.

That's my OPINION, as stated a few times. We're all fully entitled to them, however worthless we may think others are...right?

hehe I'm just yanking ya chain, man..... it's all fun! Casey was fantastic!

The Rossi Leghumper Nation just keeps churning out the excuses! U guys are the best.

Rossi's still 11pts behind Nicky's 2006 MotoGP World Championship points total with one race to go. Yeah, I know. It's all the tires' fault.

Anyone could've won on Casey's bike this year. What? Stoner's teammate has half as many points as him, although he's a 3x World Champ and riding the same bike after scoring nearly 2x's as many points as Stoner last year? Yeah, I know. It's all the tires' fault. Wait, it's all the bike's fault. Wait, WTF is it? Oh, Capirossi went from 3rd last year to "lost his fire" this year.

Well even though Rossi always comes across as a happy go lucky guy, did you ever even stop to think how the stress of his $40 million tax bill may be affecting his concentration and performance? Huh? Didja? Huh?

Thanks, Jami. I agree with you that Rossi fans are great.

But your post does lead to a bit of an intriguing question....is this the opinion of someone who is, as you say, a "leghumper" for anyone OTHER than Rossi?

Weren't you quite a major Nicky leghumper last year?.....and now switched to being a Casey leghumper this year?

If so, and Melandri starts to dominate next year, d'ya think you might become a Melandri leghumper, in 2008?

Seems to be a bit of a trend. I guess it must be tough for you to be so indecisive as to whom to consider the best when they keep changing like this, ya?

That is thought provoking!

How many points is Hayden behind his total from last year?

Oh... You say Nicky's down 133 points from last year?

Could that have something to do with the tires?

Doh!

Less so than:

1. Problems he had this year adapting to the 800cc bike which he has since come to terms with.

2. Problems he had with the Honda's traction control systems which has been fixed for a while now.

3. Problems he had with his own mistakes/rider error.

4. Problems he had with equipment reliability.

5. plain old bad luck.

While tires are surely also a factor to be considered in there somewhere, I think the combination of the problems itemized above had as much, if not more, to do with his lack of top results this year.

duud, hayden was a fluke

you will NEVER see him at the top of the championship again, even on stones and on the ducati with stoner driving

And since Rossi is struggling to get to Nicky's point total from his 2006 MotoGP World Championship season, it must mean that Rossi's DONE!

Holy Shit Bobby! We caught a whale!

Unlike Rossi fans who live in denial, us Nicky fans just call it how we see it. He had a horrible season. No tire excuses. No tire rule excuses. No "it's the bike" excuses. No "if he was on the Ducati and Stones" excuses. He had a horrible season. It's called reality, which is something Rossi Leghumpers seem so avoid at all costs.

Not a Stoner or Ducati fan at all. Don't like either of them and actually rooted against them both in Assen this year. But for Heaven's sake, stop trying to belittle the guy for DOMINATING Rossi. He ate Rossi for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then took a huge Rossi shit on him.

2 yrs of Rossi Championship drought. And counting...........
