Why the odd gauges then?
Jardine 2-1 for a track bike?

Odd gauges- it's a race bike, Kurtis Roberts' Erion RC51.
2 into 1- they ran this setup occasionally.

2-1 for the tighter tracks & the twin cans for tracks like Daytona (more top end).

No way thats an RC. Has to be a RR1k. I refuse to accept my beloved RC being the butt of a cruel joke. Photo shop that into a 916 and post it a few rows up in the Duc lounge.

Looks like the frame slider broke off.

After the flames were put out, I bet it would still run.

I think he was racing Superbike in '02. He won Formula Extreme in 2001 I think.

And odd gauges.

I think that was the same year that Nicky's RC-51 caught on fire during a low side. If I remember correctly, the cornerworker stood there with his finger up his (nose) while Nicky grabbed the fire extinguisher and put his own bike out. HRC`shoulda given Nicky a bonus for saving their investment that day.

They did give him a bonus! He got the Repsol Honda ride over World Champion Edwards.

And now you know the rest of the story.
