While out for a training ride on his bicycle on Sunday morning, John Hopkins was hit by a car, suffering lacerations and scrapes and hitting his head. Nevertheless, the Rizla Suzuki rider is planning to race on Saturday at round 2 of the MotoGP series in Doha, Qatar. Hopkins' brand-new $10,000 road bicycle was snapped in half in the crash, and the car driver left without checking to see if he was okay. "I'm a little bit grazed up and banged up, but nothing too bad," Hopkins said when we reached him today, moments after he had landed in Qatar. "Nothing that's going to keep me off my bike." Hopper says he'll be 100% for the race.
Was this an article about Kurtis testing the M4 emgp Suzuki at barber?
I think he just couldnt keep his balance, fell off, and didnt want to admit it to his super cool motogp friends that would make fun of him if they knew he didnt know how to ride a bicycle.
I heard he tossed the training wheels in a trash can before the cops got there...
reminds me a whole lot of a story involving a ferarri enzo and a porsche Officer! I was the passenger! The driver took off!
Too many carbon fiber cards in the spokes, he's cutting down to eight.
