Just a courtesy & to say thank you for those that contributed to my research study on leathers. (Dave if read this will you kindly close or delete the thread I started asking for input)
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
Yeah AGV and Joe Rocket....hmmmm Where is AXO and Kushitani? Who is Barnicle Bill?
I will trust my AXO's over most of those listed

There's something to be said for availability. I don't know if I've ever even seen a pair of Helimot leathers in a store, that I could try on. I've heard the name. But that's about as close as I've ever been to being able to buy a set.
Meanwhile, Joe Rocket has done an absolutely superb job of marketing and distributing their product. They came out of the blue just a few years ago, and look what they've done. They may not be the BEST product out there, but I'm sure their stuff works reasonably well, it's affordable, and best of all... you can find it!
I'm sure there are plenty of snobs out there who thumb their noses at J.R., but I see an awful lot of riders out there wearing J.R. stuff, who probably wouldn't have bothered wearing proper riding gear otherwise. Same goes for Icon. Say what you will about their target market and their styling, but the fact is people are wearing gear because of them. Good on 'em...

If their gear isnt the best, but fits the market and decreses injury, then hey, they (gear company) did their job and made some money, and possibly saved a squids life!
