Default What was up with Fanias

Can someone please enlighten me why this arse was giving the double single-finger salute to the crowd?

Maybe he was that upset about AMA wimping out to Buell ...

They should toss him out of AMA for the little display... that's the second time he's messed up the Daytona 200.

The AMA messed up the 200 far worse than what Mr. Fania can muster.

I disagree. He was only signalling his family. The right finger indicated that he had the same number of testicles as when he started the race. The left finger was to indicate his pre-race predicition as to his place in the DNF's...number one. Very accurate prediction. The AMA needs to have full grids for major televised events and needs to fill the field with Anthony Fania's for the illusion of an actual race.

On another related item as to Daytona....as there are so many swishers in the area, do the racers have umbrella girls or cabana boys?

Personally, I hope they penalize him by not letting him ride at Daytona next yr.

My guess is that he wasn't doing that to the crowd but to the track itself... Daytona is a track to be thankful you get out in one piece. I've been there twice and made it out in one piece 50% of those times. I'm guessing that was a signal to Daytona in general that the track didn't get him this time...

or then again he might just be an idiot.

just a thought, maybe he was being booed by the crowd for bringing out the dreaded pace car (we wont even touch that can of worms here) and that was his mature and level headed respose.

I'm going to go one further: I think Fania thought he was being booed by the crowd when in fact the crowd was booing the pace car.

I love Fania. Think about how boring the 200 was last year when we didn't see him crash or get drop kicked. Fania makes the 200 worth watching.

I dont know...he seems like a class guy!! First he grabs his nuts and proceeds to spank his monkey at Yates last year, and now he is giving the crowd the 1 finger salute.

Maybe next year he could drop his leathers and give us a pressed fruit basket!

cheers

ian

From what I heard someone hit his front wheel and took him out exiting NASCAR T4. If that is correct than he was lucky to be in one piece, probably was in shock and he was probably giving the finger to the guy who wrecked him. There is no way that the crowd would be booing a guy who walked away from a 150 mph getoff.

That was classic Yates.

I have the tape of him at VIR in 2002 when he layed down on the track to bring out the red flag. I watch it when I need a good laugh.
