Default Looking 4 Sport Bike Enthusiasts around Durham, NC

I live here in Durham, NC I’ve lived here for over 10 years now. It has been very difficult for me to find sportbike riders that have the same enthusiasm as I do. I would like to meet up with people that don’t mind a good day of brisk sportbike riding and some occasional trackdays without complaining about how cold or early it is. Then, let‘s go riding. I have met some riders out here but all the time it’s the same old excuses or no shows. Excuse me Sir I just want to ride……………….

I am tired of going by myself all the time.

There is (or at least was) a group that met at the Exxon off or Airport Blvd. (off 40) Sunday mornings & rode locally or to the mountains. They call themselves Tri-dod (or something very close to that). Some of them also did track events & raced a little & that "inner group" was called Track-dod. As far as I know, they still meet.

The guys (and sometimes gals) I used to meet regularly with met at the Walmart parking lot of 70 in Raleigh (Glenwood Ave.) near Pleasant Valley. I still ride with them some as I'm not racing too much these days. We liked to frequent Tuggles Gap, VA area as a day-ride.

If you want, shoot me an e-mail @ epleasants@ofc-wic.com & I'll get some current info. for you.

Hey Natalie!

I'm working on getting my Hawk back up but the instant I do you can bet I'll be up for some riding. I think it's every Sunday at Michael's off of 15/501. The group Mr.Pleasants is referring to is Tri-Dogs. Good group of riders, good grouping of bikes. You'll be your own judge of thier riding manners, but I've had no real complaints. My name's Mike, my friends call me Biscuit, and I work at CycleGear in Raleigh. Email me anytime, biscuit@neverwhere.org and what Mr.Pleasants doesn't have info on I think I can fill in the blanks. (hey Mr.Plesants!)

Mike,
It is Tri-DOD (as in Denizens of Doom ). Kinda funny 'cause the folks I know from that group are anything but inhabitant's of DOOM.

You're the guy preparing your Hawk to race?? If so, we've met & talked a few times. Racing that thing this year? Any endurance stuff??

Natalie,

I live in Wake Forest and my friends are all over Raleigh area. There's a ton of nice places to ride between Durham and Wake Forest, north of hwy 98.

PM me if you ever feel like going for the ride.

Cheers.
