WTF...I Need Help

i went to my friends house last night and when i was leaving i was revin the bike up to warm it up faster so i could go home. all of a sudden it turned off on me and would not start again till this morning... ...so i went an got a trickel charger and set it on the bike and then went to sleep at my friends house pissed. this morning i started the bike up fine and rode it back to my house. when i was gettin close to my house i decided to pop a wheelie for the heck of it and thats when it happened...in the middle of the wheelie my bike cut out and FI light came on till i got to my house. i shut the bike off and restarted it and it was gone????

What could be the problem....the mappin to the PCIII

This happened to me early in the season.... My dumb Ass forgot to tighten down my positive lead to my battery after the winter storage, sounds exactly like what happened to me FI light and all

I will say that it is your PC. That has been a prob for most.

if i unplug the PCIII will the bike still run????

The Problem is the Anti Squid/Idiot sensor has been activated. You can disable this feature by taking out the tool kit and striking yourself in the face several times. At first this will only piss you off but after several applications the bike will operate as intended.

You're not truly warming up the motor if you're not bouncing it off the rev limiter. Oh yeah, and make sure you have the fast idler pulled all the way out while doing this.

HAHAHAHA - Can you also get rid of this by jumping the two wires of the antisquid/idiot relay together thus allowing for acts of totally stupidity???

Safe to ride - I guess that's a matter of perspective. I wouldn't ride it like that for sure.

RVT4LIFE if you search, you can take a look at some of my recent posts. Sounds like what happened to me is happening to you as well. I have removed the PCIII and have no issues. Everyone seemed to think it was the install, etc. but I have looked over this unit and the wiring is clean, etc. If I could, I would meet up with someone and start swapping ECU's, PC's, etc to figure out what's wrong. I was thinking about calling dynojet for a new one, but now I am of mindset to not waste my time. Seeing how the first one failed in a week and this one in about a year.

What is the purpose of letting if warm up if your gonna rev it? That would just be the same as starting it and riding right away.....wouldn't it? You may as well just ride it, my neighbor does that revving crap with his gixxer, it's annoying. Oh well hope you get the issue resovled.

im not sure y this worked but i changed my idle from 1000 to 1400 and i havnt had the problem since...and can a wrong map on the pciii make your bike act up???

Idle change? I'm not sure what the logic is there. Its probably an intermittent problem and "think" you fixed it with the idle change. Good luck with that.

The next time you want to warm'er up quick, hold the throttle wide open and then depress the start button and don't let off until you feel something punch the underside of the seat

By reving the piss out of the motor cold the cylinders might have flooded with fuel and fowled the plugs enough to create a no-start. By morning the cylinders dried out and then were able to refire. It's a bad practice to rev a cold engine - let it warm up normally or get on it and go.
