Default 04 tail faring paint question

i want to repaint the tail on my 04,is the white part a large sticker section or is it paint with just the black border ?does any one know ?

you know if it can be purchase? i only see that they sell decal,do you know if anyone makes that type of pieces ?

If you go to one of the online OEM suppliers, look up the mark stripes page.
I believe they are items 20 - 23.
Items 20 and 21 are the decals (L & R) that fit onto the rear panel, and 22 and 23 are the decals (L & R) that fit onto the rear cowl.

I am shocked that its a sticker on your bike. I own a 00 and the black number plates on the tail and upper are painted on. (just wet sanded them 24hr ago).

is the silver for the tail on the 04 the same silver as an 05? did the color code change over the years? anyone know the codes? thanks

The believe silver paint should be the same for '00 through '04.
The '05's and up were black and it looks like the silver wing and accents may be a darker shade.
I've not seen an '05 up close to know. Precious few RC51's in my area.

And yes, on my brand new OEM bodywork I bought last year, the front cowl and rear cowl black areas are stick on decals over silver paint that could be replaced if really needed.

dam how much did it cost to get new OEM bodywork brand new?

All new bodywork cost about $1830 + S&H (which came to around $175).
