Default HRC Hard Bite Pad Performance

I'm new to using the HRC pads and noticed on a ride the other day that after a couple hundred miles of break in they started getting real loud. Pretty much a grinding noise and feel. They were still strong as hell but the noise and feel concerned me. When I pulled over to check them out there was nothing out of the ordinary, the rotors were smokin hot of course but that's it. So I guess I'm asking the guys who have used these pads if this is normal operation/performance for them.

They should be a metalic pad, like the Race EBC GFA or EPFA compounds.I also get the wining and the gritty feeling when on the brakes soft but when needed metalic pads have the greatest initial bite compared to carbon comp. pads like the sbs or forodo. Sounds normal

You do however need to really clean the rotors to get the previous left over pad off the rotor surface to make sure they arn't just bedding against the left over compound that wears on the surface of the rotor. this should be recondnised as black residue on the rotor remove this to make sure the new pads are seating properly

ive got the softbites and they grind like a mo-fo... really worried me at first so i did some hard stops where no one could hit me if i went down and they work like magic, no issues what so ever
