Default CBR1000RR forks swap?

I have a chance to pick of a set of 2007 CBR 1000rr forks w/brakes very cheap. I know I get the radial mount but am wondering if anyone has done this conversion and what it entails?
Thanks,

Tim

Default Ummmm....

I'm guessing if the spacing of the forks fits the RC triple they would mount alright. I believe the fork diameters are the same at least.
I think first concern would be fork length in regards to front ride height.

I'm sure I won't be the first to tell you to do a search so you could try that as well. Good luck!

IMO for the street the rc51 are no worse then the CBR. i would suggest a respring and valve by somebody and away you go on either forks. the RC51 IMHO had better brakes then the CBR as i owned both bikes and rode then back to back often. the radial brakes are nice for running larger rotors or smaller for certain tracks but for the street the 51 had better brakes off the bat so don't waste your time. if you are hell bent on radial brakes i have a set of black radil adapters for the 51 with either yamaha r1 calipers or cbr tokico calipers i could get you a deal on

Thakns for all the replies as it has helped out. My bike is just going to stay the same as it is now.

I guess I didnt read the post that said 954 forks because I wasnt looking for 954 forks.

As for price, very similar to Mrgrn prices but without the knowledge and expertise.
