Default Headlight question

I'm running a single headlight on my RC. Is there a way to turn one side into both high and low beams?

I'm assuming some wiring and a different bulb.

I really just am curious how I'd wire it mostly. I've read some stuff already about installing HID's from I think it was a Lexus, but have no clue about how to wire it.

Thanks ahead of time.

take hot wire from the original high beam, stick in in the 3rd slot in the low beam socket. ditch the H7 bulb and replace it with an H4...pretty easy actually, been running this setup all season.

You may need to trim the base of the H4 bulb for it to sit flat in the headlight housing

How is light output? My understanding of the highbeam is that it produces so much more light than the lowbeam from the shape of the reflector...

Has anyone weighed the headlights? What would be light alternatives for good road lighting using a race front to install them?

Headlights are not too bad, weigh about 20 ounces without the bulb.
