check out the exhaust reviews over on RC51.org there is a very comprehensive write up of a bunch of different pipes including the Jardine 2 to 1.

Only problem with the write up at 51.org is its old. I have a 2:1 gp setup and I haven't found a map yet that it runs right on. I've gotten it to run good but I believe there's alot more there. With the 2:1 I noticed it feels alot stronger up top but feels weaker in the mid-range. I just got an airbox and snorkel so I'm shootin for a custom tune in the next few months to bring it all together.

Doode - you need to get a map of your own - don't cheap out now... Nothing will fit you bike properly - trust me I know...
Besides dyno's are fun!

Existing PC maps are definitely the weak point, there are workable ones to be found with some effort, but I'd definitely say a custom map on a dyno is even more important for a 2:1 exhaust than with one of the more common 2:2 setups. Now if only the local guy would get his dyno shop back together I could follow my own advice.

The “experts” will tell you that they are not as good and don’t make as much power as the 2 into 2 systems. They are probably right to some level. The Sato systems do make more HP. But personally I was more interested in shedding some weight even if I lost a few HP at 10,000 RPM. I think considering the price and weight of the Jardine 2-1 they are a very good setup. I have no complaints at all with my system. They run fine with some of the 2-2 maps but obviously not as good as it could with a custom map.

I would find a used one cheap with a bad can and get a GP can. It will be load but so what.

the only place that they realy seem to loose out is the mid range. they usualy have a pretty decent dip around 5k if I remember correctly. overall though i think they have some decent gains. nothing spectacular, but decent. just watch out for the bracket that tends to break. there are some good pictures over at rogue. I know the write ups are old, but neither the bike nor the pipe have changed. there may be some better maps out there now though.

the dip comes from too small a header out the head and not having a tuned length pipe on the rear head

if you bend the rear tube more and make them larger then it might not have so much a dip. the rear pip on that 2-1 is so short compared to the front

take a tape to them and see

Let me know what you find, cause I just got a 2:1. I have a stock airbox and snorkel, however.

They work fine overall. I've had them on for years. They do have a dip but you probably won't notice too much. The two biggest issues with them is that the tab did break (twice), was rewelded twice, should be fine now, (due in part to thin wall tubing and the mounting hole not having enough play for fitment). The other issue, which is more of a pita then anything else, is that the pipes blow the packing material out in a very short amount of time. The can will be empty in just 2000 miles, (which makes them sound tinny). On the positive side, I do like the looks of the single muffler over the doubles and the weightloss for this system is unbelievable.

I'm currently running the Erion 2into1 map and that seems to work ok for now.
