Default Sprocket and coolant question????

Will a 15T front sprocket and 43T rear sprocket fit with a stock length chain and a 190 50 tire???

I searched and found someone saying 15-42 would fit but I couldn't find any info on 43T. Has anyone done this with success??

Second question my coolant is a little low. Is it ok to dillute it and fill it up with distilled water or is deionized a must??

Thanks.

top the fluid of with some distilled auqa. if its not too low, than use whatever your running coolant wise to top it off.

dont know about the 190 and the 43t. my only question is why? the 15x43 is a pretty sharp gear, you'd be better off with a 15x42 and a 190 will fit that fine.

Well the problem is... for some reason these guys don't offer a 42 tooth rear...

I am looking to go cheap and you can't beat $22... but I don't see a 42T in the lineup.

Get in touch with Cbr400RR, he's a member here and can provide you with some good deals. Not sure what he has but its worth a PM. I didnt check out that like, but cheap and RC51 drivetrain parts dont work so well, the bikes lowend torque will wear that stuff out pretty fast. Steel is good, depending on who makes it. And again, 43t is kinda tall IMHO but its do-able, I ran one for a while and its funs for tight stuff Give Scott a shout, plus hes a sponsor of the site

Yea I bought my front sprocket and soft rev mod from Scott but I was looking at his rear sprockets and they were like $67 I believe... that is a pretty big difference. The one linked is a steel sprocket.

(to make matters worse I am a broke ass grad student so that difference is a big deal to me)

So has anyone used 15 -43 together on a 190 50 tire??? I don't want to order one and be screwed when the chain is too short.

If not I guess I will have to keep looking for a cheap 42 tooth steel sprocket.

Yes, 15/43 will work with stock length chain but it shortens the wheelbase. I have done it. Some guys like it, It was to much for me. Mine was an SP2 with the longer swing arm than your SP1. I cant remember off the top of my head if your chain is 106 or 104. Now Im not certain if it would work for you. I still have the sprocket , mabey we can deal. Its barely used. You can search and find the info on here.

Stock chain on an SP1 should be 104 links per svce manual. I went 16/42 and am happy fwiw, but I also like my rear wheel fully forward to shorten the wheelbase.

Also how much do you want for it and is it any problem to ship to the united states?

Sorry for the delay but school is absolutely swamping me at the moment. Feel free to PM if that suits you better.

PS that is a steel sprocket right???
