Default Aftermarket shock interchange?

I've got the possibility of a great deal on a Penske triple clicker but it is from an '07 1000RR. I know the spring needs to be changed, but will this shock (with top bushings & bottom 'end') fit an RC51? If all I have to buy is a spring it's a great deal. If I have to buy another $100 worth of parts, it's marginal.

Thanks all knowing 'zilla!

I compared a 04-05 and an 06-07 1krr shock to the RC51 shock and both of the 1krr shocks were shorter from top bolt hole to bottom bolt hole!

Penske are great shocks. since they are modular, you can always change the parts to put them on other bikes. I would contact Mike H @ Penske to ask how much it will cost to do this.

You can usually find a used shock which already fits for around $450-$500...

The owner of the shock got back to me and he talked to Penske. They said it's about $150 to change the bottom end to fit a RC51. The length is very adjustable on these and 'Modular' for the Penske's at least, is the right word. You use the same basic shock 'Body' and configure the ends, length, & spring for your bike. I'll keep looking.

Thanks everyone!
