Thanks for the replies, folks. I figured the 'whirring' (wibbly nailed the description) sound
probably is normal with a the rotating shafts and whatnot in the cases so confirmation was nice. Oil was just changed, looked ok and everything seems normal so I'm gonna relax and enjoy her.
Note: 'normal' on the RC sounds like an oldschool NISMO 5-speed about to chuck a throwout bearing at you.
I know the gear whine and love it. Combined with the race-cores' bellow and the induction snarl it is indeed a seductive song.. And a lid is something I won't ride without.
Maybe I was just being paranoid after running her pretty hard with the I4 1Ks last night at our local 'circuit'.

I'd never smelled her at 'battle temperatures' before (tires/brakes/motor all at once).
