Default troubleshooting a wiring harness (battery goes dead)

I tried the search function but no love (apologies if I missed something here already) My 03 RC-51 has had a problem since I got it where the battery goes dead prety quickly when not used (1.5 to 2 months..)

It's a track bike so lots of wiring was taped up and shoved into the front race faring before I bought it.

Tried so far: New battery installed and I assume the charging system is ok by seeing 14+ volts at the battery when running ...) The power commander is (I assume) wired right. No lights on it until I turn the key...

What is the best way to narrow down what is causing the issue?

My thoughts:

Find out what the expected resistance you should "see" at the battery terminals of the bike (looking back at the wiring harness) and if mine is low then start pulling fuses until I find which circuit..??

- Anyone know what this resistance value should be?

Any help is appreciated.

Curtis

I might not be understanding the question or problem correctly, but any crotch rocket I've had before will drain the battery in 1.5 to 2 months. Not sure this is an actual problem withthe wiring harness.

you got the perceived problem right. I never thought a month or so of sitting (in an insulated garage) would kill a fresh battery though...

Thanks. I didnt think of just measuring amps in series.

Anyone know what to expect as a maximum current draw on a 03 RC51 w/Power Commander when turned off?
