Hey Phil,

Headers look Killer mang., Nice! With a very nice improvement on Your Custom EFI map!

I've read your sig./list of stuff in your RC however, I don't see anything performance wise other then the "Sato" slip-ons...?

Are you running a Power Commander III USB or something else?

Are you running\using a Thorsten\TurnOne AirBox ?.. IF Not You should, not only is there an 9-11lb drop in weight.. it's dropped up high! Plus, extra the Power to be Gained from said AirBox there bro.!

How Old\New were your Spark Plugs?

Just acouple questions cause inquiring minds want to know. Hahahaa

Peace Jeff

Thanks for the pic... I think my 2-1 will be getting coated gold this winter to clean it up. First to get a new mid(once my funds recoup from the wreck repairs)

Not sure why it makes such good power frankly. The blue run is as it was when I bought it, and the red was after tweaking the map.
PCIIIr and K&N Filters. Pair still there as well as flapper.
Did back to back with the vacuum hose to the flapper hooked up and not and actually better power with it in place so there it stays. I will probably yard out the pair system, but not really expecting any significant improvement from it.

I decided to go with the Akrapovic full exhaust system and sell my Moriwaki system. The Akrapovic system is 7 lbs lighter.
I also went back to the stock airbox and replaced the paper with foam in the filters.

I started with the map from the Dynojet site for the full system and stock, deflappered airbox. It ran ok, but I got it mapped by SPL at the track and now, it's spectacular! It makes good torque all the way to the 10.2k rev limiter. It didn't produce 75 ft-lb, like some, but the torque is like a tabletop. I'm not sure how a 21 psi (cold) race slick affects the torque reading, but at this point, I wouldn't change a thing.

We gained almost 8 ft-lbs and 9 HP:

nice numbers why did you go back to the stock airbox?

btw, a race tire always puts less down to the ground than a street tire but since thats what your running on the bike it would make no sense to run a street tire just to have a few more ponies for bragging rights.

Who's the best local tuner for the money on the dyno? Any tips?
Before I bought my bike it was supposedly ran on dyno but still had the pair system and flapper valve on bike still. I removed both and noticed changes and not sure good. I would assume she needs to be redone if it was even ever done? Thanks

Now if you could only find some forks J/K

Wingnutt will tell you Silverback(now Ducati Minneapolis) and they may be the best but they are spendy. 2K motorsports in Richfield is doing mine for half the price. and the quick corrections he made made a huge difference in smoothness and now I am having him do a full map over the weekend.

But I do know Silverback has done 7-8 of them this year. I just don't have an extra $500 to throw down on tuning with my divorce and getting it back on the road costs. so I am going a less expensive route. I will let you know how it works out next Tuesday.

The only way you can clean that BEAST up is with some new bodywork, ha ha I finally made it on here. Ill be giving "wingnutz" some crap sooner or later, and 00 rc51 how are those rear sets working out.

Sorry for the thread jack, resume please. Love the gold pipes with gold rims those would look the Dogs Nads.

Screw bodywork it rides just fine the way it is. if I leave it like this it won't make me cry as much next time it hits the road(or a guardrail).
