Default 05 Price

I read some earlier threads where dealers out west were asking sticker plus fees that seems outrageous to me. I'm wondering what people who actually bought an 05 paid. My local dealer is doing 10,900 out the door seems like a decent deal to me. If I can get off work early tomorrow I should be riding it tomorrow night. I feel like a kid the night before christmas.

I paid $9000 OTD for my '03 but that was in PA.
Get on the phone and call every dealer close to you and get them to give you a deal over the phone.
my 2 cents

I called a place in TN that advertised a price like that over the web but that was without fees. Add tax and tags in VA plus driving to TN and I'm over 11k on that one. I already found several 04 for 8900 OTD but I want an 05 I know it's only a different color but I don't care for the nicky stuff and an RC51 in black just looks so damn good. I'd be happy just staring at it in my living room!!!

dude you are crazy to pay that much more for color only. Get the '04 and use the money for the greatly needed upgrades - IMO

I looked it up in the N.A.D.A. used bike guide.
The interesting thing is that an '04 is listed as having an average used retail value of $9175.
The '03 is listed at $7905. So if the good deal on a new '04 is $8900, shouldn't the deal on the '05 be right around $10,170?

I hear ya on the extra $$$ but it's worth it to me. I don't plan on doing much to it right away pipes, pwc, tail and maybe a seat. I won't need suspension mods right away adjustments will work for me coming from a VFR. I just can't say enough about the black either. I want looks, handling, good usuable power, great sound and something that isn't what everybody else has! The 05 RC51 fits the bill.

I saw the 05' at the dealer today (just took a glance, I don't like to look at new stuff too much, LOL) and it did look pretty sharp. I'm not a fan of all black bikes and black is a bitch to keep clean, but it did look really nice and smooth. Good luck with it, I know the riding position will sure be a departure from a VFR!

Also, you might want to add the 15/41 gearing to your list, especially if you do any amount of slow riding. This is what my bike has, and it still wants to buck and cough if it's under 15 to 20mph or so. That is with pipes and PCIIIr too.

$9799 - '05 RC51 - Pro Cycle in Missouri

http://www.procycleusa.com/ind...d=248

this place is semi-legendary in the Midwest as far as prices go. service? well, that's another thing. people from all across the country visit this place to buy bikes. i've never dealt with them - and i've heard some negative stuff about service, but lots and lots of people talk about the great prices they've received. most other area dealers can't / won't compete with pro cycle on price - but try to make it up with aftermarket goodies.
