Default Anyone else collect sp1 memorabilia?

After finding a lazer etched sp1 in a crystal block , i cant get enough of collecting sp1 related goodies! These came in the post today, the 2000 castrol honda yearbook is really nice , as is the signed colin edwards poster and honda autograph book. The press launch jacket is a nice find, there cant be many about?!

Nice find! You're right, there can't be too many of those floating around...

Thumbs up memo

I have the sticker sheets, one with the white bike and one w/stars and stripes. Got them at SBK Races at Laguna 2002. You have some nice stuff.

That's pretty neat. It's amazing what some people still have lying around. You just have to be at the right place at the right time and have some $$$. That etched crystal you have is about the coolest RC/VTR related thing I've ever seen. The only cool stuff I have are some models. I've got two little (1/32 I think) and two big (1/12 ?) ones. One of each are the Ben Bostrom 155 models, which I haven't seen too many of.

Talking of the sp1 in a glass, i found out a little about them. They were made by Honda to firstly give out to the riders who had success on the rc51. Joey Dunlop had one as did the winners of the suzuka 8hrs race, after the riders were catered for, team managers/owners got one, Neil Tuxworth the then manager of the wsbk castrol honda team (manager of HM Plant honda british superbike team now) also has one. After that ,i think main dealers got access to the rest. I`m very lucky to have mine!!
