Hey all! I just got some word/conformation that a group of VFR's and RC's are planning a group ride to Deals Gap this coming may. Sounds to be alot of fun.Looks like 5/31-6/4 and several will be staying at Kickstand Lodge.I'm in Jefferson City,TN. so i'm not too far from the dragon.I will be bringing a couple of Hawks.It would be nice to get started an annual event/ride for v-twins as i never see one on Killboys calender?Can you imagine the roar of about 30+ twins rippin' through the gap!!!!!

Just make sure you do not need to pull your trailer through the gap to get to the camp ground. Could take a long time and get a bit ugly.
Interested in this as well. Would like to put a couple more faces to names from this board. I would like to make it, but god only knows if that will happen. They way my luck has been lately it would be a miracle if I could.

All the same,ya never know what the weather will be like or what the circumstances will be then.Like i said before,i read this post from someone on a VFR and another RC forum so i thought i would chime in on it?Let's face it,why HASN'T there been an RC group gathering??? I wanted to get one started this past summer but didn't know anyone else in my part of town that even had an RC?They are pretty scarce around my area.So,since there are several interested in this,i may actually take it upon myself to somewhat organize something for this?Ok,so there will have to be a little more planning but so far,i got 5/31-6/4. Now,things could odbviously change but if there is a majority that can agree on a better date,then,please speak up!?!? As far as lodging,i am not familiar with anything past Deals Gap going further into NC.You guys are on your own but Deals Gap dot com,Kill boy . com might help.I don't lodge since i am around Knoxville.So far on the VFR site,there is a list with 23 peeps already joining the bunch including RC's.Let's get something set in stone here!!!!

The Kickstand Lodge has parking and campsites I believe. Check their site. Shouldn't be a problem. I've been trying help the VFRW guys out a little with organization but still don't know if I'll be able to go at all. I've ridden with quite a few of the guys from N Ga. Let me know if I can help.
any info on the "to" part? as in where the the ride is starting. or is this going to be a "gap weekend" where everybody just ends up there?
Guys, the original plan we have going at VFRW is to meet up at the Kickstand Lodge on 5/31 and each day we have a different ride / route planned with different guys leading those rides. So, there'll be rides thru NC and GA as well as the Gap. The VFRW guys are booking lodging at the Kickstand in Stecoah, NC thru 6/4.
looks like I might not be able to make it there that weekend, but I may be there the weekend of the 15th? I think. gunna do a SED with nesba at VIR on the 13th and try to head south for the 14th and 15th maybe. definitely going to have to take some spare shoes for piggy.
