The 2:1 systems are almost certainly lighter and louder, but there aren't many PC3 maps to be found.

C'mon ... I was joking.

Sato low mounts seem to give the best performance, but everyone loves the Banzais.

Both are getting harder to find.

I know a guy who's trying to unload a Micron system. Don't know enough about them on a RC to comment.

Yeah, I figured as much with the emoticon.
FYI, there have been a string of letters and one article about loud pipes in my local paper. People are pissed at Harley's but really most of us are guilty. You watch, some time in the future there will be no loud pipes. If it'll shut up those MoFo Hardleys then I'm won't be complaining.

The difference in performance between the Banzai's & the low mounts is negligible at best. They are almost neck & neck for all practical purposes.

There are no more Banzai's left in the world at all and supplies on the Low Mounts for both SP1 & SP2 are dwindling as well. What I have on my shelves is the last of them and when they are gone, they are gone!

Likewise I have the last of the Ohlins shocks & forks for the RC51 also sitting on my shelves.

I can verify this info is spot on.

Wingnuts and I got custom maps built for our bikes at the same shop one after another and my Sato Banzai system produced 128.5 BHP and 76 lbs of torque and his Sato low-mount system came out to 127.5 BHP and 77 lbs of torque. *Figures are approximate and vary due to standard deviation of dyno readings.

+1 This info is right on. Sato with the Ti mids are the best bang. Any you can find some good prices on used stuff out there. New prices on Sato have always been a tough hit on the bank acct. At this point you might be best served to go with what you can replace. But for my money I would still go with the Sato pipes.

here are some close ups
I should be getting a mint TSR full system soon(same as in the pics)
probably keep it as it will give me an incentive to buy an SP-1 or sp-2 as it looks it will clear the sp-2 swingarm fine)
tjis was the first high mount ever made(early 2000)
retail was about 2500us back then

some nice carbon bits

I believe the TSR system will clear the SP2 swingarm no problems - I missed out on an SP2 here a while back that had an SP1 TSR full system with oval cans. Beautiful exhaust. Simon if you see one of these I'll take it.

Max,

if you're serious about engine modifications this is probably the SP1 exhaust you're looking for:
