Default Looking to repaint my RC51

Anyone have any custom pic of their RC51?

I intend to repaint the bike i just picked up this winter. Leaning toward solid black or white with a few OEM style honda logos. Or a wing similiar to the 09 model bikes.

2000 year model; pretty much stock besides an exhaust and some cosmetic things, no damage other than typical 10 years worth of little nicks and such. Paid $3600 for it....seemed like a offer to good to pass up.

We will let you slide on this one Bob... But molesting stock bodywork (unless rashed) is sacriledge on this site

B.T.W. there are peeps here that beat that topic to death search is good.

I've always been fond of the colin edwards paint scheme:

I never liked the white/green much, but here it is:

A bit more subtle (and one I've always liked over the years)
is the Euro paint scheme for the SP-1:

Personally, I've never been a fan of white sport bikes - it makes
them look like a major kitchen applicance, IMHO - but here's one
that isn't too washed-out:

It's hard to go wrong with basic "Model A" black, but
whenever I see an all-black RC51, I can't help but think
of Rick Moranis in Spaceballs:

Inspired by the Ducati 748s:
- Titanium Grey, Matted.
- White Accent and Number Plates.
- Red Pinstripping.

Paint codes for the body:

I'm glad you approve as that's my bike in its first track trim.

Well i know the no no's of painting a unrashed bike; as i often feel the same. But that said; though the bike is not rashed it has 10 years worth of little bug chips and marks and little specs and stuff......and well to be honest im pretty picky about my street bikes looking very clean. I will be doing the painting and thought about redoing the original scheme.....but since it is by no means a collector of any sort i would like to do it in something that tickles my jewels.

That last all white one is nice.....nice enough to slide me from black to white. I would just update the honda wing with the style on the newer models.

Thanks for the prompt input fella's.

Kurt that Cabin replica scheme is wicked, I love it ... except for the gold wheels. Black powder coat those things please.

Welcome Bob. I just repainted my RC this spring (due to road rash) and found a plethora of info on this site. I'm pretty sure I spent more time browsing for a color scheme than I did painting. Good luck and be sure to post pics when you're finished.
